Have you dreamed of becoming a linchpin in the industry? I guess we all do. We’ve all dreamed of becoming the next rich man or the most influential person or the best writer. We dream, dream, and dream, and yet nothing shows up.
This reality made me to think of Nigerian market women whose goods is not more than $100 and yet they show up every day. I can’t just seem to understand what kept them showing up at the market knowing that they’ll not buy Rolls Royce tomorrow. What do they believe in? Hope.
That’s the word, folks! Does hope mean not showing up and keep day dreaming? No! Hope is showing up every day at your work and doing your best.
I know many market women who started from scratch again and again, they fail, they falter, and yet they never stop showing up at the market. And every time I remember this, I tell myself that my dream is real but showing up every day is what can make it come true.
Yes, it’ll be tough but show up every day.
Yes, you’ll fail but show up every day.
Yes, you’ll make mistakes but show up every day.
And yes, you’ll feel like the world is against you but show up every day.
Because showing up is hope and if you show up every day in spite of all odds your dream will come true.
