The Bed Bugs

The Bed Bugs

Bed bugs that is what I call them;
They bite not in the day,
But only at night.
They gave us hope in the day,
But shattered our hope at night
Hiding in every nook and cranny of our beds.
They suck our blood for their survival.
They are bed bugs, I repeat.
The government that sucks the blood of her people.
Someone get me a spray but,
Not a cologne;
Insecticide that kills the bed bugs.
So that we can sleep peacefully
At night.

WRINKLES

WRINKLES

The fear of tomorrow makes me wonder.
Have you not seen the wrinkles on their faces?
It makes me wonder with fear,
That tomorrow is not certain.
That wrinkles are sign of old age.
I can see the old walk on the street;
And, see the wrinkles on their faces.
It reminds me of my present,
That I am full of energy and strength.
They are not now, but once were;
The wrinkles will come to me soon.
I fear for tomorrow because it is not certain.

Why-Did-I-Do-This Moment

Why-Did-I-Do-This Moment

We all have our why-did-I-do-this moment. Moment of regrets, shame, remorse, and guilt. I don’t know what yours are, but I am sure you do have one. The idea of living life without regret is not realistic, so to say; because it’s part of human to feel guilt after doing something bad, it’s part of us to look back at our past. And, when this happen just forgive yourself and move on. Thank God that you are no more in that past and your present is full of hope.

Give Wholeheartedly

Give Wholeheartedly

When I give, I give wholeheartedly.
When I have four, I give out two.
Because I know someone out there is in need.
If you have five and you can’t give out one;
Then you’re poor.
Forget about your outfits,
Because they’ll fade.
Forget about the amount of liquor you ordered,
It only makes things worse.
The rich is the one who give with sincerity;
And, the richest is the one who is being content.

Writing appetite

image

Sincerely, I am struggling with my writing. This is not a writer’s block, I know that for sure. It’s more than that. Maybe I am getting too much information that is, reading too much of different genre of books which are diverting my thoughts to something else. I have got an essay to finish and I have also got an eBook to complete.

Language: Why You Must Learn One

How many languages do you understand? Have you tried to understand other people’s language? You might even ask why you need to understand other people’s language. Let me tell you one secret today: The more you try to understand other people’s language the more you understand yours. You’ll see the relativity in all languages and see that we all came from one source.

My interest in language piqued when I started learning Arabic language. It made me to understand better the basic grammars in English language. I found the beauty both in English and Arabic while learning Arabic language. I learned that there are masculine and feminine words in Arabic which in English it rarely occurs. The same thing occurred when I was learning Russian language. Learning Russian was very easy for me at first because of the little knowledge I had in Arabic language. The grammatical gender, the possessive case, the prepositional case, the accusative case, the dative case, the gerund, and so on doesn’t appear to me as something strange as to many other people who had never learned the basic grammars of other language.

Learning other people’s language will also increase your intelligence quotient, it will make you to understand the world better, it will make you understand the custom and culture of others, it will expand your thought and perspective of other people, it will make your brain works faster than you expected. You can memorize and assimilate things better than others because of your constant brain exercise. Learning other people’s language is not an easy task but it’s a task worth doing. And if you ask me what learning other people’s language has brought me? I will give you unlimited and never ending list of it. Trust me, you just need to learn other people’s language and experience what I am talking. It’s never too late to learn, take a book now on any language or travel to other places where your language is not spoken and learn new things. Start now or never!  “To have another language is to possess a second soul.” –Charlemagne
